Born and brought up in New Delhi, Divya Gupta Kotawala is a woman of many dimensions—a devoted daughter, wife, mother, entrepreneur, author, and social changemaker. Divya’s life took a profound turn in 2021 when she lost her father, Shri Suresh Gupta, to COVID-19. The loss left a void that words alone could not fill. However, it was through words that Divya ultimately found healing. At the age of 40, she embraced authorship for the first time, transforming grief into a powerful voice of hope for millions. An Education Rooted in Excellence and Creativity Divya completed her schooling at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, and later pursued History Honours from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. Her passion for creativity led her to the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), where she studied fashion designing. She went on to intern with renowned designers Ashima and Leena Singh, gaining hands-on experience in India’s luxury fashion space. After marriage into a 300-year-old jewellery legacy, Divya co-founded the iconic jewellery brand House of Kotawala with her husband, Manish Kotawala.
